Everyone has a hoodie story. Usually it ends the same way: the thin fleece pills, the cuffs stretch out, the print cracks, and by spring it's a dust rag. Most store-bought hoodies are printed on 8–10 oz blanks — light, cheap, and built to be replaced.
When we decided to add hoodies to the Bizchit line, we went the other direction. We built on one of the heaviest blanks we could find: the Stanley/Stella Unisex Sculpted Heavyweight Hoodie, at 15 ounces per square yard of 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled polyester.
What does "15-ounce" actually mean for you? It's fabric weight — the density of the knit. A 15 oz fleece is noticeably denser and more structured than a standard hoodie. It holds its shape instead of sagging at the elbows, it blocks wind better, and it breaks in over time instead of wearing out. Think of it like raw denim versus thin stretch jeans: the heavier garment rewards you the longer you own it.
The blank isn't the whole story, though. Each hoodie gets a full-color DTFlex front print — a print method that lays down rich, detailed color without the stiff plastic patch feel of old-school transfers. Every one of our seven hoodie designs — the Lucky Gambler poker patch, Raven Moon, the SUSEJ Adventure Awaits bear, the Time Is Cool melting clock, and the three pin-up pieces (Cowgirl, Pocket Watch, and Rockabilly Bubblegum) — is printed on the same black heavyweight blank, so the colors pop off the dark fabric.
A few care notes if you grab one: wash cold, inside out, with like colors, and hang dry when you can. The fleece softens up beautifully with each wash without losing its weight.
We didn't pick this blank because it was the cheapest option. We picked it because it's the one we'd actually keep. If you're tired of hoodies that give up after one season, this is the antidote.
