The Pin-Up Series: Cowgirl, Pocket Watch, and a Little Rockabilly Attitude

The Pin-Up Series: Cowgirl, Pocket Watch, and a Little Rockabilly Attitude

Some art styles are trends. Pin-up is a tradition.

The classic pin-up look — bold lines, confident poses, colors that pop from across the room — has been showing up on everything from calendars to bomber jackets for the better part of a century. It works because it isn't trying to be subtle. It's playful, it's confident, and it knows exactly what it is. When we started sketching ideas for a Bizchit pin-up line, we didn't want one design. We wanted a little series — three characters, three moods, one unmistakable style.

Meet the three

Pin-Up Cowgirl. The one that started it. A lasso-swinging cowgirl with more confidence than the whole rodeo — this was the first pin-up design we cleaned up and put on a shirt, and it set the tone for everything after. She's equal parts sweetheart and troublemaker, and on a black tee she absolutely owns the room.

Pin-Up Pocket Watch. The classic of the group. A vintage pin-up paired with an ornate pocket watch — a nod to the idea that style, like time, is what you make of it. If Cowgirl is the loud one, Pocket Watch is the timeless one: the design people pick when they want the pin-up look with a little old-soul elegance to it.

Rockabilly Bubblegum. The rebel. Rockabilly hair, bubblegum attitude, zero apologies. This one leans hardest into the rock-and-roll side of pin-up culture — the dances, the cars, the jukebox energy. It's the design that gets comments from strangers, which is really the highest honor a graphic tee can earn.

Tees first — then the premium hoodies

All three designs live on the same shirt we trust across the store: the Comfort Colors 1717, a garment-dyed heavyweight tee with a soft, broken-in feel, in black, sizes S–4XL, at $25.88. Black is the right canvas here — the artwork's colors were made to stand off a dark background the way classic pin-up art stands off a poster.

And because these three were too good to leave on tees alone, all three are also in our premium hoodie line: the Stanley/Stella Unisex Sculpted Heavyweight Hoodie, a 15 oz/yd² fleece in 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled polyester, in black, sizes XS–3XL. It's the nicest blank we could find — heavy, structured, and built to hold its shape — and the pin-up artwork sits on it like it was always meant to be there.

How to wear them

The Cowgirl tee wants denim — jeans, a denim jacket, boots if you've got them. It's a full western nod without crossing into costume. The Pocket Watch tee dresses up easiest: throw a dark jacket over it and it reads vintage-cool instead of novelty. Rockabilly Bubblegum is the weekend shirt — sneakers, rolled sleeves, music up. And the hoodies? Any of the three, pulled on over anything, turns a plain outfit into one with a point of view. That's the whole appeal of pin-up style: it doesn't whisper.
